Background

PING! Studios (formerly Volition Interactive) was originally founded by two former U.S. Air Force officers who honed their skills designing computer-based training for student pilots at a time when interactive courseware was still in its infancy. They provided almost all of the training support software to Air Education and Training Command, and were officially recognized by the Air Force for saving taxpayers 38.4 million dollars. They received top-notch training and had been asked on several occasions to pass their knowledge on to other professional courseware developers.
