PING! Studios was formed in 2004 to carry on the work of the San Antonio-based Volition Interactive. After starting a Denver branch of Volition in 2001, Volition co-founder Marty Topping found a market for web-based animation in the Metro Denver region. When Volition Interactive closed its doors in 2004, Marty started PING! Studios, LLC to continue the mission of Volition – with a concentration on web-based animation.
